Emissions
Since our initial work in 2002 on the use of Greenhouse Gas markets as climate change-related environmental policy instruments, the Utilis Advisory Group has advised trading organizations and utilities on emissions issues relating to:
- Allowable sulfur content of fuels burned by utilities
- Renewable portfolio standards
- Various cap and trade schemes
- State and regional efforts to control carbon emissions
Utilis Advisory Group has worked with an integrated energy major to develop a strategic marketing plan enabling the organization to capture additional market share by offering no-cost, value added SO2 emissions credits to their commercial No. 6 fuel oil clients.
